Obituary for Velma Kernop
Velma Kernop, 87, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at her residence in Camden, MS.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Madison County. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday December 10, 2022 from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko and after 1:30 pm Sunday at Good Hope Baptist Church.
Ms Velma is survived by her daughter Judy Goss, sons David Kernop (Donna) and Luke Kernop (Frances), her sister Sallie Summers (Gerald), her brothers Bill Barrett, John Barrett (Mary), Earl Barrett (Mada) and Bert Barrett (Wanda), six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kernop was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and a retired factory worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Velma Lucille Burrell Barrett, her husband David B. Kernop, a brother James Dallas Barrett and a granddaughter Liane Kernop.
